Sparkling Pointe's 6th Annual Carnaval Celebration was an afternoon filled with wild entertainment, gorgeous weather, and impeccable cuisine and libations. Samba dancers dressed in outrageous costumes encouraged everyone to dance and have a good time. Held at the Sparkling Pointe Winery in Southold, the event also featured the release of their new Cuvée Carnaval Rouge.

Each year Sparkling Pointe Winery pays tribute to the Brazilian holiday "Carnaval" after owners Cynthia and Tom Rosicki were inspired by their visits to Brazil. This year's Samba Queens enticingly moved to the sounds of the Samba Nova Band and the Brazilian drummers.

Attendees were invited to join in the dance or to mingle outside where selected restaurants were serving samples. Guests also got the chance to taste what some called the "fruity" Cuvée Carnaval Rouge.

Sparkling Pointe's Carnaval Celebration is a wonderful reenactment of Brazil's most popular extravaganza. The North Fork setting is perfect to celebrate the world's largest festival while also tasting Sparling Pointe's fabulous new releases. If you missed this year's event, be sure to check the date for next year's annual celebration usually held in July.
