10th Annual Long Island Fight For Charity
Huntington Hilton
Monday, November 25, 2013

Long Island Fight For Charity's 10th annual fund raiser was a real knock out! About two dozen local business men and women stepped into the ring at the Huntington Hilton in front of over a thousand spectators, all with the common goal of helping some worthy causes.

Aside from the obvious fulfillment that comes from helping those in need, attendees delighted in delectable tastings from dozens of participating restaurants and establishments. The mingling and scrumptious samplings were followed by entertaining bouts of family-friendly fisticuffs.

The benefiting charities included The Genesis School, which provides specialized community-based programs and other opportunities for people with autism, the Long Island Community Chest, which provides short term financial assistance to struggling local families, and the National Foundation for Human Potential, which promotes, develops and encourages educational and support services for children and adults with different abilities.

With its 10th round complete, the Fight For Charity shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Their mix of fine foods, amusing antics and charitable nature ensures they will go with full 12 rounds -- and then some!
