Long Island Food Critic

This year's "The I Love Chocolate Fest" held at Old Bethpage Village Restoration was a chocolate adventure for everyone to experience. With over 30 local vendors in attendance, this was certainly a perfect opportunity to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Attendees sampled delicious chocolate products from Chocology, Dove Chocolate Discoveries, Brooklyn Dark, and The Chocolate Duck to name a few. Author Stephanie Sorkin displayed her cute children's book called "Chocolate Shoes With
Licorice Laces" with a recipe of it's namesake at the end of the book.

Besides chocolate, vendors also served exquisite samples including wine, honey, jam spreads and artisan bread. Some of these vendors were Peconic River, Barna Bee, Simply Baked, and Darcy's Delights.

There was more than just chocolate at this event, as children from 10 - 110 were able to enjoy face-painting, a meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and admission to the Old Bethpage Village Restoration, a living history museum where guests can step back in time and experience life as it was on Long Island during the 1800's.

"The I Love Chocolate Fest" was an ideal extravaganza for chocolate lovers to sample and purchase their favorite guilty pleasure. This exciting event also gave vendors the chance to demo their finest items from chocolate to pastries to candles. It was clear to see from the smiles on children's and adult's faces, that this event was a delicious success.
